Yes. LuxGive experiences can be used for both auctions and raffles. The consignment model works the same way — you only pay for the experience if it sells. For raffles, we recommend including a provision in your raffle rules stating that if the minimum number of tickets is not sold, the raffle will convert to a 50/50 split format (where half the pot goes to the donor and half to your organization). Pricing & Fair Market Value
What Is the Reserve Rate (Nonprofit Price)?
The reserve rate — also called the nonprofit price — is the fixed price your organization pays LuxGive for an experience that sells at your event. It is always set below the market value of the trip. Here’s how it works in practice: Each experience has a set nonprofit price (e.g., $1,000). You auction or raffle the experience at your event. If the winning bid is $3,000, you pay LuxGive the nonprofit price ($1,000) and keep the remaining $2,000 for your cause. If the experience doFew readersWhat Is the Fair Market Value of an Experience?
The fair market value (FMV) — also referred to as the retail value — is the estimated market price of the trip if purchased directly by a consumer. This number is different from (and higher than) the nonprofit price. Why does FMV matter? For raffles: Donors typically want to know the retail value of the prize they could win. For tax purposes: Winners may need the FMV for tax documentation. We recommend discussing specifics with your accountant, as tax obligations vaFew readersHow Much Do LuxGive Experiences Cost?

Before your event, LuxGive provides an Auction Agreement to confirm the experiences you’ve selected. Here’s what to know: The agreement locks in your selected experiences for your event date. It confirms which packages you’ll be offering to your donors. There is no financial obligation if an experience doesn’t sell.
