What Is the Reserve Rate (Nonprofit Price)?
The reserve rate — also called the nonprofit price — is the fixed price your organization pays LuxGive for an experience that sells at your event. It is always set below the market value of the trip.
Here’s how it works in practice:
- Each experience has a set nonprofit price (e.g., $1,000).
- You auction or raffle the experience at your event.
- If the winning bid is $3,000, you pay LuxGive the nonprofit price ($1,000) and keep the remaining $2,000 for your cause.
- If the experience does not sell, you owe nothing.
We always recommend setting the minimum bid price above the nonprofit price to ensure that every sold experience generates profit for your organization. Your Fundraising Consultant will advise on recommended starting bids.
